YOUTH FROM SAMIA BUGWE CENTRAL CONSTITUENCY DEMAND CHANGE FROM LEADERS

By Our Reporter

Busia, Uganda - A cross-section of youth from Masaba, Buhehe, Masafu, Masinya sub-counties, and Masafu Town Council convened a meeting with Ouma Patrick Transformer, the aspiring Member of Parliament for Samia Bugwe Central Constituency in the 2026 elections.

The enthusiastic youth, representing various sub-counties and Masafu Town Council, expressed their deep-seated concerns about the government's priorities, citing the recent nationwide thanksgiving celebrations as a prime example of misplaced spending.

"We're fed up with the status quo," declared a youth representative from Masaba sub-county. "Our leaders should focus on addressing the pressing issues affecting our communities, such as poverty, poor education, and inadequate medical care, rather than squandering resources on thanksgiving celebrations."

The youth emphasized their desire for effective leadership, quality education, skills training, good roads, and access to medical care. They vowed to hold their leaders accountable and demand tangible solutions to their problems.

Ouma Patrick Transformer, the aspiring MP, listened attentively to the youth's concerns, acknowledging their frustrations and promising to advocate for their needs if elected. "I'm committed to being a voice for the voiceless and a champion for change," he assured the gathering.

This meeting marks a significant turning point in the constituency, as young people assert their desire for meaningful change and effective leadership. With Ouma Patrick Transformer's promise to represent their interests, the youth feel hopeful that their voices will finally be heard.
