Currently, the President of the largest opposition party unilaterally appoints the LOP, limiting input from other opposition MPs. The proposed bill aims to empower all opposition MPs to elect their leader, increasing autonomy and independence. If passed, this change could significantly impact Uganda's parliamentary dynamics."
